The cottage can sleep a maximum of eight people. We have three bedrooms--two with double beds, one with two twin sized beds--and a futon in the den.
Is the cottage air conditioned?
Yes, the cottage has central air and heat. We have fans too!
Does the cottage have a television?
Yes, we do have a television with Dishnet Family plus local channels. We also have a vcr and a selection of family movies.
Will my cell phone work at the cottage?
Sorry, but it's unlikely that your cell phone will work here; mine sure doesn't. The good news is there's a phone in the cottage that can be used for local as well as long distance calls within the U.S. at no extra charge!! If you prefer to be incommunicado all phones can be unplugged.
What time do we need to check in? or out?
As long no one has the cottage booked immediately before or after your stay, we are very flexible and have no firm check-in or check-out time. However, we do ask that you let us know when you plan to arrive and depart--it just makes life easier.
Do you require minimum stay?
Yes, we do require a two night minimum stay.
Do you prepare breakfast?
We no longer serve breakfast. The cottage is now "self-catering", meaning you can prepare your own meals at your leisure. The kitchen contains most of the tools one would need to prepare meals; if you need something else, and we have it, you are welcome to borrow. Just let us know.
My kids/husband/wife/mother...are addicted to shopping malls/nintendo/playstation/high-def/computers/cell phones... how will we/they survive?!?!
No need to worry, you'll find lots to do here. We have books to read, board games to play, a campfire to sit around, trails to hike, deer and birds to watch, water for swimming and fishing and a water falls to gaze upon-all are proven to increase endorphins and make you mellow and happy.
